Do you ever waive your fee?
Based on a commitment to “give back,” I waive my fee for several programs each year. As a business person, of course, I have to limit the number of these programs. If I’ve reached my limit for the year, you may apply for next year.
In order to waive my fee, certain restrictions apply. If the program is out of town, expenses will be your responsibility.

I’d like to share my expertise through professional speaking. How can I get started?
Go to www.nsaspeaker.org to find out if there is a National Speakers Association (NSA) chapter near you. While you are at the NSA site, click on the icon for at the Academy for Professional Speaking. This is an outstanding program that will help you understand all the aspects of the business. The program requires an investment, but the experience will cut your learning curve significantly.
What are the most important ingredients in credibility?
Research shows that trustworthiness, competence, and a level of inspiration or passion are the key ingredients in credibility. For tips on how to increase your credibility, see the article Three Ways to Increase Your Credibility.
I know I want to establish my expertise by writing. How can I find the time?
If you think of writing as requiring a large block of time, you’ll never get around to it.
Plan an article or book that provides small chunks of material, and you’ll find it easier to find time to write. If your article is entitled Ten Tips to Better Whatever, you’ll find it fairly easy to write. Your readers will also find the article easy to read.
Also, give yourself permission to write sloppy first drafts. Go back and edit in a separate session. It’s unrealistic to expect yourself to write a complete document of any length in one sitting. Professional writers give themselves permission to write lousy drafts. Give yourself permission too.
I’m an introvert. Can I ever become comfortable with networking?
Absolutely! Introverts don’t usually shine in a big way at large gatherings, but they are often proficient at networking.
